We know there are lots of questions out there about where, when and how to apply for health insurance, so we thought we would answer some for you! It’s time to get coverage for you and your family!
What is Cover Oregon?
Cover Oregon is Oregon’s new health insurance marketplace where Oregon families can shop for health insurance plans, sign up for Oregon Health Plan, and access financial assistance to help pay for coverage.
Where can you enroll?
There are many places where enrollment assistors can be found, but the best opportunity to sign up is the Enrollment Open House on March 25th, 26th and 27th at 275 W. 8th Avenue in Eugene!
On Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday of next week from 12pm – 6pm, community partner enrollment assistors will be on hand to answer questions and provide assistance for enrollment in either a commercial qualifying health plan or a subsided health plan. These sessions are FREE and open to the public!
When should you apply?
Now! Open Enrollment ends March 31st!
What do you need to have on-hand to apply successfully?
For each person in your household you will need:
- Social Security number for everyone who has one who is applying for coverage
- Alien Resident number for everyone who has one and is applying for coverage (you may qualify even if you don’t have one)
- Birth dates
- Employer and income information
- Policy number(s) and plan names(s) for any current health insurance
- Information about health coverage available through your employer
