Kids In Transition To School (KITS) Program
The Kids In Transition to School (KITS) program is for children entering kindergarten this fall.
KITS is free and has helped hundreds of families make a smooth transition into kindergarten for over 10 years! It offers two activities: a school readiness group for kids, and a workshop for parents/caregivers.
In the KITS School Readiness Group your child will:
Learn to make friends and cooperate
Build beginning reading and counting skills
Do fun activities and play games
Be in a positive, supportive setting with highly trained teachers
In the KITS Parent Workshops you will:
Learn skills to reduce parenting/caregiving stress
Learn how to connect with your child’s school
Connect with other families in a relaxed, welcoming setting
KITS also provides:
Translation for parent/caregiver groups
Snacks
Childcare during parent/caregiver groups
Transportation may be available

KITS 2024 Summer Groups
Applications have closed for the summer. Please check back in the spring of 2025 to learn more about how to apply for a KITS program offered by your local school district.
This is a free online school readiness program for parents of children* 4 to 6 years old. This 90 minute program meets once a week for 8 weeks in the summer or fall. Space is limited so sign up today!
