Relief Nursery’s therapeutic Preschool Promise classroom has a strong focus on promoting children’s social-emotional development in a safe and nurturing environment. Classroom staff work in collaboration with parents and other specialists to support children’s learning in all areas, including interpersonal skills, emotional regulation, communication, problem solving, and motor skills. Children are offered a rich learning environment with many opportunities for self-expression. Classroom staff strive to support children’s attachment needs as they gain confidence exploring their world as well as when they need closeness and comfort. We know that parents are the most important person in a child’s life. We believe that the best way to support children is to work closely with their whole family. Monthly home visits are an opportunity for you and your child’s classroom teacher to get to know each other and to work together to nurture your child’s development.
