Need Help with Your Child’s Problematic Behavior?

Raising a young child can be full of joys and wonders.

However, we know that it can also be full of frustrations and challenges, especially when you have a child who is disobedient, aggressive, has problematic tantrums or misbehaves in public.

These kinds of behavior problems are some of the most common problems that parents of young children deal with. These problems can create ongoing difficulties for children because they make it harder for the child to succeed in school, get along with adults, make friends with their peers, and learn self-control. This increases a child’s risk for future social, emotional, and behavioral problems. How parents handle these challenging behaviors when their children are young has a big impact on whether the behavior problems get better or worse over time.

If you are the parent of a 3 – 7 year-old child with challenging levels of misbehavior, and are looking for help in dealing with those problem behaviors, a new program at the Oregon Research Institute may be able to help.

The Success for Children and Families research study at Oregon Research Institute is seeking parents of 3 – 7-year-old children who want help dealing with their children’s challenging behaviors. The study is currently evaluating a parenting program that is designed to help parents improve their children’s behavior, and you could benefit from participating! Find out how to solve challenging problems with your child's behavior and prevent future problems before they arise.

Families who qualify for the study will receive the Triple P - Positive Parenting Program FREE of charge. The Triple P program is internationally acclaimed and backed by more than 30 years of research. The Triple P program teaches parents how to deal effectively with problem behaviors when they occur, how to build a supportive family environment and a more positive relationship with their child, how to encourage positive behavior in their child and how to teach their children skills they need to get along with others.

Having a child isn’t always easy, but getting help and support can be! For more information and to find out if you qualify for the study, click here or visit http://www.ori.org/success.
